Killyliss Rath

This is a bivallate rath with a circular central area and a low, spread inner bank, surrounded by a ditch, a very substantial bank and a wide outer ditch.

The entrance is on the south east side. Small-scale excavation was done in 1965 when the site was threatened by the nearby motorway (its line was later moved). Hearths and material of the Early Christian period were found.
