Mary Ann McElroy

Believed to be Mary Ann McElroy (Wife of Packie Edward – nee McCaffrey and died in 1953) with two of her children looking out the half door.

The reeds/canes called “currag”, to the side were used to keep the draft of the cold out at night time. Also visible to the left of the door is a scrubber or washing board.
