Owld Owney

In her book Rose Shaw has called this photograph “Owld Owney, the Bordherer”.

No date when photo taken but there is a record of Owney dying in Clogher workhouse on 30 April 1910.

Rose in her book tells how Owney was once a well off farmer who through ill health and bad luck had to sell his land.

He is believed to have lived formerly in Corleaghan.
