Cormac O Holland- Seanchaí (Storyteller and Musician from Ballyscally )

Featured on Facebook “Indigenous story of America” “N Ireland Historical Photographical society” and Taken from Rose Shaws Book “Carletons Country” originallypublished in 1930 and Republished in 1931. (Spelt Cormic- spelt as it was said in

the book). Year taken unknown. (Cormac appears to be aged 71yrs in 1911 census head of household and widower.

 However, a marriage certificate of Cormic Holland (labourer)on 9th January 1874 aged 34 (suggests he is 71 in 1911)of Ballyscally upper and son of Cormic Holland and

Catherine(nee McCarron)married Mary Shevlin from Ballymacann (daughter of Terry Shevlin and Ann (nee McKenna) in St Macartans the Forth. See Photo 11 POSSIBLE
